How do I place a custom order?
What is the lead time for custom cakes?
You can submit a custom order request through the online order form on the Stay Sweet Bakehouse website or reach out directly. Requests submitted through the order form receive priority over social media messages.

We recommend placing your order a month in advance if possible. The minimum notice required for custom cake orders is 72 hours. Orders placed with one week or less notice are subject to a 25% rush fee. If you need a cake within one week, please text Michaela at (515) 423-5272 to ensure your request is read in time. We try our best to fulfill all order requests, but cannot guarantee there will be availability.
Do you require payment upfront?
Do you offer artificial dye-free desserts?
Yes. Orders under $300 require full payment at the time of booking to secure your order date.
For orders totaling $300 or more, a non-refundable 50% retainer is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due one week prior to pickup or delivery.
Yes! We use ENCO Natural Dyes when doing anything artificial dye-free. Please make sure to let us know in your order details that you do not want artificial colors and we will accommodate.
Do you offer delivery services?
How do I pick up my order?
Yes! Delivery may available dependent on our schedule. Delivery is $75 within 30 miles of Ankeny. Locations beyond 30 miles are subject to an additional $1 per mile (round trip).
Stay Sweet Bakehouse is currently a home bakery and does not have a storefront. The pickup address will be provided with your invoice once your order is confirmed.
