I'm Michaela - the owner, baker, decorator, occasional delivery driver, social media manager, and creative mind behind Stay Sweet Bakehouse! (And praise the lord for my man, who is the best dishwasher around!♡)

What started out as a hyper fixation on watching cake decorating videos on TikTok has now grown into a business where I get to help people celebrate life’s sweetest moments and occasionally sneak in a sweet treat for myself!

When I’m not in my kitchen covered in frosting, you can find me chasing around my two little kids, studying for my next exam (did I mention I'm also going to school full time!?), or occasionally hiding in the garage with a cupcake pretending I’m back living in New Mexico.
(I love Iowa, but I miss NM like crazy!)  

Baking has given me the opportunity to rediscover myself after motherhood, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. I'm beyond thankful to everyone who has trusted me to create sweet treats for their celebrations!
